Since 2020, United Way has invested more than $10.3 million into St. Johns and Putnam counties, supporting programs and partnerships that strengthen local families and neighborhoods. The report also shares powerful stories of resilience from individuals and families whose lives have been positively impacted through community support.

United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties is proud to announce that we have been selected as a beneficiary of Birdies for Charity, the official fundraising program of THE PLAYERS Championship. This exciting opportunity allows our community to support local families in a simple, impactful way — while engaging with one of Northeast Florida’s premier sporting events.

Tax season doesn’t have to be stressful—or expensive. Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties offers free tax preparation for individuals and families who qualify, ensuring more people keep the refunds they’ve earned.

At United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties, we are proud to provide financial support an incredible network of local nonprofit partners who step up every day to uplift neighbors in their greatest times of need. On January 24, 2025, United Way of St. Johns County, proudly serving St. Johns and Putnam Counties, hosted its 8th Annual Givers Gala at the Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort, raising close to a quarter million dollars to support local programs that empower individuals and families across St. Johns and Putnam County. The evening, themed “Venetian Masquerade: Unmasking Our Mission So All Can Thrive!”, was an elegant celebration of generosity, community, and leadership, and was expertly hosted by First Coast News anchor Jessica Clark.

St. Augustine, FL — United Way of St. Johns County, proudly serving St. Johns and Putnam Counties, is excited to announce Carl Cricco as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, ushering in a new era of strategic leadership. Cricco, whose extensive experience spans nonprofit leadership, marketing, and fundraising, will officially join United Way on November 4th and will play a pivotal role in driving the organization’s mission to create lasting community impact.
