United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties Opens Applications for Student Mental Health Grant Fund

June 10, 2026 — United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Student Mental Health Grant Fund, designed to support local nonprofit organizations that are improving the mental health and well-being of students throughout St. Johns and Putnam counties.

Made possible through the generous legacy of philanthropist Delores Barr Weaver, the Student Mental Health Grant Fund provides financial support to smaller nonprofit organizations that may not have access to United Way's traditional Community Impact funding opportunities. The fund seeks to strengthen grassroots organizations delivering innovative programs and measurable outcomes that support student mental health.

Applications will open on June 10 and close on June 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Grant recipients will be notified of award decisions on July 1, 2026.

Eligible nonprofit organizations serving students in St. Johns and Putnam counties are encouraged to apply. Funding will support programs and services that address mental health challenges, increase access to care and resources, and promote emotional well-being among youth.
