United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties is proud to announce that Publix Super Markets, Inc. continues to lead in global charitable giving to United Way. In the company’s most recent workplace campaign, Publix associates pledged $277,983 to United Way of St Johns and Putnam Counties with Publix Super Market Charities contributing an additional $155,097 bringing the total local contribution to $433,080.

This year, Publix kicked off their two-week United Way fundraising campaign on September 15, 2025, continuing their long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities they serve.

In June 2025, Publix was honored by United Way Worldwide with the #1 Leading Corporate Partner, President’s Circle Award—the highest recognition given to a corporate partner for exceptional commitment to community impact and philanthropic leadership. The award was presented to John Doran, Executive Director of Publix Super Markets Charities, during the Together We Thrive Global United Way Conference in Orlando, where United Way leaders from around the world gathered to celebrate innovation and impact.

Publix’s recognition was based on its remarkable $52.7 million raised in 2024, including $2 million in disaster response support from Publix Super Markets Charities. Since 2019, Publix has held the distinction of being United Way’s #1 corporate partner globally, supporting over 130 local United Ways across the Southeast.

“Through the generosity of Publix associates and the company’s culture of giving back, thousands of local families gain access to resources that provide stability, opportunity, and hope. We are proud to stand alongside Publix in building stronger, healthier communities where everyone can thrive.” — Carl Cricco, President and CEO, United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties

These contributions will help advance United Way’s work to improve health, expand youth opportunity, increase financial security, and ensure community resiliency in the communities Publix serves.
