Purpose of Funding
The Strategic Grant Fund provides financial support to smaller nonprofit organizations that lack access to United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties’ traditional Community Impact funding. This fund aims to strengthen grassroots organizations making measurable differences in the lives of residents across St. Johns and Putnam Counties.
Areas of Focus
Applications must align with at least one of the following United Way strategic focus areas:
- Housing Stability – Programs that promote affordable housing, homelessness prevention, or supportive housing.
- Financial Security – Initiatives that increase economic mobility, workforce readiness, or financial literacy.
- Food Insecurity – Efforts that provide access to nutritious food or address hunger in vulnerable populations.
- Education – Programs that improve early learning, student success, or adult education outcomes.
Funding Guidelines
- Maximum Award: $7,500 per organization
- Eligible Uses: Programmatic support, direct services, or capacity-building efforts directly tied to the approved impact area
- Eligibility: Must serve residents of St. Johns and/or Putnam Counties and be a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing
Application Timeline
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties reserves the right to request additional documentation or clarification during the review process.
