Jeff Young

Tell us how you first got involved with United Way of St. Johns County.

I actually got involved with the United Way of St. Johns County through the St. Augustine Young Professionals Organization, where I met Victoria Long. She asked if I would like to be involved with the Emerging Leaders program, and I became the Volunteer Coordinator for the group which has been a great opportunity to help out the community.

Tell us about a positive experience you’ve had as an UW-SJC volunteer.

UW-SJC is a great way to get involved with the community and help others. With the numerous organizations they assist, they are truly an asset to St. Johns County.

Tell us about a positive experience you’ve had as an UW-SJC volunteer.

All of the volunteer opportunities I have had have been a positive experience. Whether it has been collecting food, painting, or even doing some gardening, we have had the chance to help make people's lives a little better.

When you aren’t volunteering, what can we find you doing?

Playing golf, grilling or at the beach.

What is one life lesson you will never forget?

No matter what, it is going to work out one way or another. So try not to worry too much about it.
